Ballistic Panel / Wall

A safe room is the protected space where people shelter during an attack until help arrives. Building a reinforced-concrete room from scratch is not always possible: in an office floor, a residence or an existing facility, time, weight and the load capacity of the structure set the limits. That is why modular ballistic panels are prefabricated and mounted inside the existing room, on its wall surfaces, to form a new protective shell. The result is a protected space without demolition.

Prefabrication speeds up installation and shortens time on site, and the modular build allows the system to be reconfigured when needs change. A safe room is only as strong as its weakest point: panel joints, the door and any glazing must be treated at the same protection level. The panel system can therefore be designed as one project together with a ballistic door and ballistic glass. Protection level and panel sizes are set by the threat assessment and the load capacity of the structure.
